DESCRIPTION:‘Let’s Ride!’ Beginner Riding Course | Ages 12–18\nReady to get in the saddle?\n‘Let’s Ride!’ is a 5-week beginner riding course designed specifically for older children and teenagers who are new to riding, building confidence, or wanting to develop their riding skills in a safe and supportive environment.\nEach 1-hour lesson builds on the previous week, introducing the fundamentals of riding through practical exercises, games and activities. Riders will learn how to work with their horse, develop their balance and position, and gain the confidence to ride more independently.\nPerfect for:\n\nRiders aged 11–18 years\nComplete beginners and first-time riders\nRiders who are nervous or lacking confidence\nYoung people who love horses and want to learn more\nRiders looking to build a strong foundation before joining a regular riding programme\n\nWhat you’ll learn:\n\nSafe horse handling and basic care\nMounting and dismounting safely\nCorrect riding position and balance\nSteering and controlling your horse\nWalk and introductory trot work\nRiding exercises and games to develop confidence\nHow to communicate effectively with your horse\nBuilding independence and good riding habits\n\nThe programme is taught by an experienced coach in working with beginner riders, using quiet, experienced school horses and a rider-centred approach.\nTerm 3 – 5 Week Course\nWednesdays:\n26 August\n2 September\n9 September\n16 September\n23 September\n1-hour weekly lesson\nPlaces are limited, so bookings are essential.\nImportant: Parents or caregivers must be available to assist with leading the horse if required, particularly for riders who are completely new to riding.\nChoose your ticket:\nSelect the ticket below based on the rider’s age or weight.\nBookings are now open – secure your place in ‘Let’s Ride!’ today\n
