‘Let’s Ride!’ Beginner Riding Course | Ages 12–18
Ready to get in the saddle?
‘Let’s Ride!’ is a 5-week beginner riding course designed specifically for older children and teenagers who are new to riding, building confidence, or wanting to develop their riding skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Each 1-hour lesson builds on the previous week, introducing the fundamentals of riding through practical exercises, games and activities. Riders will learn how to work with their horse, develop their balance and position, and gain the confidence to ride more independently.

- Riders aged 11–18 years
- Complete beginners and first-time riders
- Riders who are nervous or lacking confidence
- Young people who love horses and want to learn more
- Riders looking to build a strong foundation before joining a regular riding programme
What you’ll learn:
- Safe horse handling and basic care
- Mounting and dismounting safely
- Correct riding position and balance
- Steering and controlling your horse
- Walk and introductory trot work
- Riding exercises and games to develop confidence
- How to communicate effectively with your horse
- Building independence and good riding habits
The programme is taught by an experienced coach in working with beginner riders, using quiet, experienced school horses and a rider-centred approach.
